Student Recognition

Golden Tickets

HP’s ASB leads the “HP Golden Hawk Tickets” program to recognize and celebrate every student’s effort and contribution. Once a year, between October and May, students receive a ticket during Hawks Path that can be redeemed for special treats and privileges like early lunch with teacher permission. Keep your ticket safe—they’re your key to rewards like candy, library prizes, and more!

Hawk Pride Cards

Staff members reward positive behaviors by giving out Hawk Pride cards connected to our school values: Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Inclusive. These cards can be redeemed in numerous ways for incentives and prizes. There will be monthly Hawk Pride card drawings at lunch to reward selected students with a predetermined treat. We also have a Hawk Swap event several times a year where students can exchange their Hawk Pride cards for small items (trinkets, posters, pencils, etc.).

Hawk Core Four

Here at HP we talk about our behavioral expectations in terms of the Hawk Core Four. These traits are essential for a supportive learning environment. The Core Four are:

  • Respectful – how we treat each other and the community
  • Responsible – prioritizing learning for ourselves and others, taking care of business
  • Safe – physical and emotional safety for all
  • Inclusive – welcoming everyone

In addition to the frequent recognition students receive for behaviors aligned with these values through the Hawk Pride cards, each trimester we recognize students who most exemplify these values. Teachers nominate students for each of the different values and students receive a certificate presented by administrators.

Honor Roll

Each trimester, we recognize students in all grades who have earned a 3.75 GPA in that trimester. Students are recognized on a poster displayed in the Great Hall.
