Please remember to not drop off students on Harbour Pointe Blvd. You can drop off in the back area of Harbour Point, in the White Lot at Kamiak High School (parking lot next to the pool, gym, and portables), or on 50th Pl W (across from the school where your student can cross with a crossing guard).

Please look carefully at the map above for these three drop-off locations and take note of the direction that Kamiak would like for parents to use in their parking lot.

During the morning drop-off, the “kiss-n-go” line in the back driveway of HP should be continuously moving. Please DO NOT WAIT while your child walks into the building.  Students can wait outside the entrance doors until the building is open.

Please do not park in parking spots during drop-off and pick-up.

It is time to purchase your Hawk Spirit Wear! Get it fast - the online store closes on Sunday, September 20th!

Please plan to attend Curriculum Night on Tuesday, September 29th. You will have an opportunity to follow your child’s schedule, visit classrooms, meet teachers, learn about Clubs and Activities, how to get involved, and stay connected to our school. Curriculum Night is intended to provide parents with an overview of our curriculum and strategies on how to partner with teachers to help your child have a successful year. Teachers and counselors will not be available for individual consultation prior to, during, or directly following our evening program. Curriculum Night is designed for parents and guardians.

A form will be sent home on Monday, September 28th, for your student to fill out their schedule. Please bring the schedule with you to Curriculum Night. You will follow your student's classes and get an opportunity to connect with staff.

We do not have physical space to accommodate children and therefore request that students and siblings not attend. However, if you have young children and you do not have childcare, your “littles” may accompany you. Our elevator can accommodate strollers.

We’re excited to host our Harbour Pointe Middle School Food Drive to keep our school’s food pantry full and ready for students and families who need a little extra help.

The drive kicks off on Friday, September 25th, but you can also drop them at Curriculum Night on September 29th — bring a can (or two!).  

We’re collecting non-perishable items like canned goods, pasta, cereal, rice and other staples. Every item counts and helps our school community.

Look for the donation bins in the Great Hall. Let's see how full we can get them!

Attendance is an important factor in your child’s success in their education journey! That said, we are aware that sometimes it is unavoidable to miss school. While there are many reasons students may be absent, there is only ONE thing you need to do when it happens:

Please be sure to contact the attendance office by phone or email, 24hrs a day to report your student’s absence. Include your child’s name, grade, and reason for missing school. 425.366.5105, or HPAttendance@mukilteo.wednet.edu

If you know in advance that your student will be absent for one day or more, please complete the prearranged absence form at this LINK, or find it in another language on the district website. Be sure to choose the middle school option from the list of choices.

If your student is absent, it is important to excuse the absence by doing one of the following: 

We would like to remind you that for vacation/travel absences, a Pre-Arranged Absence Form must be filled out and returned to Student Services at least one week prior to travel. If you know that your student will be absent, please ask them to get a form from the Student Services office. Your student will need to bring the form to each of their classes for teacher signatures, then collect a parent's signature before returning it to Student Services for administrator consideration. 

Regular attendance is crucial for students' academic success. We encourage families not to schedule appointments during school hours, although we understand that it may be unavoidable at times. If you need to pick up your student early from school, we require some time to retrieve them from their class. Kindly notify us at least ONE DAY PRIOR by calling (425) 366-5105, or emailing HPAttendance@mukilteo.wednet.edu with:

Provided with sufficient advance notice for pick-up, we will have your student waiting for you at Student Services at the specified time, saving you from waiting.
